It is usually the turning point of most people’s life between twenty and thirty years old. Nowadays it also usually says, “It is equivalent to having no job once you are graduated form college or finish the military service.” Unfortunately, this slogan exactly reflects my life a year ago because the attribute of my college department does not match the requirement in reality. Though I felt very interested in IT after graduating, I still thought I’ve lost the best chance in my student career. Besides, even though I’ve read related textbooks by myself, all I got was only the vague concept so that I still had no specialty after finishing the military service. At that time I was deeply frustrated! However, it lighted up my dark life since I met GeeGo Systems in IT exhibition.

In this exhibition, educational training institutes were too numerous to enumerate. However, Linux+CCNA program designed by the chief executive officer of GeeGo Systems deeply attracted my attention very much because of their outstanding learning environment and latest network device. At the very beginning of learning Linux, it was not easy for me to get familiar with because most users including me are used to implementing Windows when beginning to use computer. Nevertheless, we gradually felt not so much strange to Linux through the conscientious instruction by Lester. Additionally, I also agree with the teaching style of our instructor that focuses more on lab practice than theory instruction. I think it is the best learning manner for students through constant lab practice based on book theory. Lester also always tells us an important concept that you cannot always accomplish every task independently but team work is much more important. Thus, our instructor often designed a series of experimental course for the team work task and we were all benefited very much in this way. After all, it was hard to describe this achievement when accomplishing a large experiment by team work. It also made us easily prepare for certification test and successfully earn it eventually.

As Linux course finished, I couldn’t wait to continue to start CCNA training course in my next stage. During this course I’ve seen the Frog’s absolute predominance on network specialty. A large amount of information in CCNA teaching material was compressed to a simple list of essential knowledge that could be easily understood through his efficient instruction. Additionally, lab practice on router and switch in class also enhanced our learning efficiency on CCNA training course. In addition to learning in class, I think the learning attitude after class is more important. Previously I used to operate on simulator but eventually realized it lacks many functions of physical network device. Such practice can only give us a limited help as well as incorrect concept. However, GeeGo Systems is just so perfect because it not only provides many physical network devices but allows every student to practice on them in any time after class. Today we do not just come for earning certification but making our own promising future. In addition, you can also invite your partner who has the same objective to implement experiment. For instance, Mr. Yong-Xiang Lin and I used to design network construction together and practiced on it again and again. Though the whole process was tough for us, the achievement was enjoyable eventually.

Believe it or not, I was so bashful that I dared not to ask questions at the very beginning. However, chief executive officer always told me, “We are never afraid of too much questions but only worry about little feedback.” Thus, I began to ask many questions to the class assistances and they also devoted their patient instruction with hard effort. Since then it seemed like I was in my home when I came to GeeGo because the interaction between teachers and students is very close as families. This is exactly what I really want! Nowadays I am in charge of network engineer in Shiunn Yang Technology, the sales agency of Trend Micro, which also serves many customers including 90% government agencies in Taipei City. The network environment encountered every day is very complicated and also comprehensive, including Microsoft Windows, Linux and all kinds of network devices. Now I can apply the techniques obtained in GeeGo Systems in everywhere. I cannot acquire my specialty and deal with my clients without assistance of GeeGo Systems. In short, GeeGo Systems really benefits my career very much.
