About CCNA Security

In June 24th 2008, Cisco systems announced their latest certification: CCNA Security, which is designed for information security talents. If for proving your specialty of information security, CCNA certified professional can continue to prepare CCNA Security in pursuing advanced information security certificate CCSP（Cisco Certified Security Professional）as well as the finest one- CCIE Security.

As Cisco Systems announced the revised version of CCNA certification in the end of 2007, they also informed the addition of CCENT certification, that is to say, Cisco Systems will modify their certification system based on new consideration of learning map in the future. Thus, after six months, Cisco Systems formally informs that the CCNA certified professionals are recommended to prepare CCNA Security, CCNA Voice and CCNA Wireless certifications based on their job requirement, interests or ability. For example, if for earning CCNA Security certification, you have following two procedures: 1) earn CCNA certification by either directly testing 640-802 or testing 640-816 ICND 2 after passing 640-822 ICND 1 (CCENT); 2) pass IINS 640-553（Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security）.
